I’m writing this during the Coronavirus Pandemic, the one thing we all have in common right now is we’re all going through this together.
I first would like to thank all essential workers and people on the front lines, you’re helping to keep the country running and keep us all safe, we appreciate you!
For the rest of us at home struggling to figure out what to do with all this “extra time”, I have some tips to keep you and the kids happy and productive!
Do Some Self Care
When life is busy we don’t always slow down to take care of ourselves. Now it’s more important than ever to take some time out for some self-care.
Take the time to take care of yourself even if it’s just small things daily.
Take a bath or give yourself a manicure. Deep treat your hair. Give yourself a facial. I wrote a whole article on doing a spa facial at home you can check out here.
There are so many ways to give yourself some care and it doesn’t always have to take the form of pampering. It could be meditating, reading, or going for a walk.
If you’re struggling to figure out what you can do for yourself then check out the Self Care Mini-Bundle!
The Self Care Mini Bundle is just $11.97 ($234 Value)! This is the perfect time to give yourself some love for less than $12!
It’s only available for a limited amount of time so be sure to check it out here.
Even taking just 30 minutes to an hour out of your day to do some self-care can make all the difference!
Learn a New Skill
This one is my favorite! I love learning and to have more time now to add more learning to my schedule is a blessing.
Now I’m not saying you have to learn anything complicated. Maybe you just want to learn a new craft? Maybe you want to learn how to sew? Maybe you just want to keep the kids busy learning while you do self-care.
Right now there are so many ways to learn a new skill for free! There are many businesses offering up free resources amid the Coronavirus pandemic.
You can take classes on topics including illustration, design, photography, video, freelancing, and more for free from websites like SkillShare.
Maybe you’re more interested in crafts? Right now the website BluPrint is offering up free access to all of their classes! This is for a very limited time offer so check them out today if you’re interested in free craft classes.

Start a Side Hustle or Business
This is the perfect time to start looking into ways to earn extra income.
Now you might be thinking this one is not possible but I’m here to tell you it is and it doesn’t even have to be that much work.

Spend Quality Time With Family
Maybe you’re not super motivated to learn a new skill or start a side hustle, it’s ok!
Use this time to be with your family. Setup movie nights, play board games, do crafts together. Take advantage of the family time you have now to get to know each other again.
Get creative and do some fun family activities or use this time to actually sit down together for lunch and dinner.
The most important thing is that you are safe and healthy!

Good tips. Especially remind about self-care.

Start a side hustle! It’s an awesome time and no excuse. We’re trying right now, but it doesn’t make it that much easier. 🙂
