UPDATE 2022: Popcart has, unfortunately, gone out of business. I am now using Capital One Shopping which is becoming one of my favorite ways to save money when shopping from my computer. You can also check out THE BEST MONEY SAVING BROWSER EXTENSIONS for other options.
If you’ve stumbled on this blog post then you’re probably looking into Popcart and wondering if it’s legit and worth using.
I can tell you that I’ve only been using it for a few weeks now and I’ve already saved money and time.
Let’s go over how Popcart works and how I saved money so far. I’m going to go over some of the features and reasons why I honestly think it’s a no-brainer to use.
WHAT IS POPCART?
Popcart is a Chrome browser extension that gives you an easier way to compare prices and have peace of mind when shopping online.
Not using the Chrome browser? Chrome is a Google product and it’s free and in my opinion, one of the best browsers out there. Download Chrome here free. You can use it on a Windows computer or a Mac.
Popcart claims to save you money and time by automatically comparing prices on everything you shop online so you never have to worry if you’re getting the best deal.
But does it work like it says it does?
Popcart price comparison
How does Popcart price comparison work? Let’s look at how it worked for me.
I was shopping for a clay mask I like that I planned on buying on Amazon because I had some Amazon gift cards.
When I found it, Popcart notified me of some better deals on the same mask (see screenshot below).
A yellow box will automatically pop up if Popcart detects a better deal. In my case, it popped up telling me I could save 31%.
I clicked on the Popcart extension in my browser and it showed me the best deals.
As you can see from the screenshot below, It showed me the same product, the same size (16 oz) in a 3 pack for $19.99, which if I bought that, I would save 31%. OR I could have also opted for a larger size (32 oz) 2 pack at Walmart for $21.78 saving me 44% but I would have to pay shipping if I spent less than $35.
As you can see below, Popcart breaks up the prices per oz so you don’t have to do any math. It also breaks down the percent you save.
Since I have Amazon Prime and didn’t want to spend $35 to get free shipping from Walmart, to me the Amazon 3 pack would have been a better deal.
But I ended up not buying my mask that day and went to go buy it the next day and Popcart found me an even better deal!
The next day when I was ready to buy, Popcart found a two-pack of the same 16 oz product for just $13.37. So while I am still saving 31%, its a better deal for me because I didn’t have to buy it in a bulk 3 pack. I only had to spend a little more to get double the product.
It took me seconds to save that 31% with this free tool that just sits in my browser and does all the work for me!
Oh, and did I mention you could get $5 just for trying it out for a month?
Popcart $5 Referral PROGRAM
Still on the fence about Popcart? They have a $5 referral program in which you could earn $5 for trying it yourself and $5 more for each friend you refer who tries it.
You can download Popcart using my refer a friend link here (thank you!) and we both get $5.
The $5 comes in the form of an Amazon gift card. You only get the $5 reward by using a Popcart referral link so that’s why I’m sharing mine.
Plus you can turn around and refer your friends and give them $5 as well.
To get your $5 reward for referrals, your friend would have to install Popcart, keep it for 30 days and make a purchase with it. Then you both collect $5! You can refer up to 20 friends.
If you’re an influencer or just have a ton of friends on social media, you can look into their Elite program to refer more friends and followers.
PROS AND CONS OF POPCART
I’ve been using Popcart for a few weeks and I honestly love it. I do most of my shopping on Amazon so to be able to make sure I’m getting the best deal without really doing any work, is super valuable.
It saves me time and money. Plus it’s a free tool that only took me a minute to install. It also hasn’t caused me any issues with my browser or computer.
The main thing I love about it is it compares different sizes as well to make absolutely sure you’re getting the best deal.
I really couldn’t find many cons to Popcart, to be honest. If I had to pick one thing it would be that I wish they had a mobile app. I do most of my shopping on my laptop but for the times I do shop on my phone, it would be a great resource.
There’s really no reason not to install Popcart if you’re doing any shopping online.

Yes! I love this extension!
Me too 🙂
Definitely going to get this extension! Thanks!
This is great! I’m definitely going to have to try this out. Last night I placed an order and then happened to see it on amazon for $30 less. Luckily I was able to cancel the first order, but if I would have been using this tool, I would have known about amazon having the best price.
Yes, it stinks to know after the fact that we could have saved money :). That’s why I love this tool.
I’ve never heard of this! Going to give it a shot.
Thank you I might give it a try!
Wow! I’m certain I’ve seen this before but I didn’t quite trust or know what it was. Thank you for explaining its use and value!
Wow, I had no idea Popcart was even a thing! Thanks for the great info on it … I clearly need to go install it right now.
