Is the Fluz app a good way to earn money shopping? I’m a big fan of cashback apps but some on the market make big promises so I wanted to check out Fluz for myself.
What intrigued me the most about Fluz is that it allows you to double-dip on discounts from other cashback apps to get money back on your purchases (more on that later).
I tried it out myself to see if the savings are worth the hype. In this Fluz app review, I’ll share my experience and show you how to earn rewards with the Fluz app. You should learn enough to decide whether Fluz is an app you would love to try out.
What is the Fluz App?
Fluz is an app that allows you to receive discounts while you shop online and off. The app is 100% free to download and use. The company partners with large retail chains to provide discounts and other perks for users who shop through them.
In a nutshell, you’re basically buying gift cards or codes through Fluz and using them to pay at checkout whether online or in-store. The benefit is that you’re getting cash back for those purchases and you’re able to use it with other cashback programs to double-dip on the savings (my favorite part).
How Does Fluz Work?
On their website, Fluz breaks down how it works pretty well but I’ll go over it here. You don’t have to shop somewhere new or change your shopping routine much.
When you’re ready to shop, you can simply purchase the items you want from your favorite stores. Head to the online or physical store checkout as usual. Open the Fluz app when you’re about to pay and select the store you’re at, along with the exact amount you spent.
Next, pay Fluz for your code and use it to pay by presenting your barcode to the cashier or copying the code down during your online checkout. Complete the purchase and earn cashback. It’s that simple.
TIP: Use Fluz Referral Code ESAVINGSBLOG to get 3 Free Vouchers for up to 35% off Gift Cards.
Below is a video demonstration from Fluz themselves to show you how it looks in action. If you already have your card saved you won’t have to enter it each time but the video will show having to enter your card info. I go more into the security of the app later in this article.
How Much Can You Make from Fluz?
You could earn up to 35% cashback using the Fluz app. To get the most cashback use a referral code when signing up (here’s mine: ESAVINGSBLOG). The referral code will give you three vouchers for 35% cash back for your first three gift card purchases at select retailers.
There is a limit on the cashback so you won’t get 35% back on a $100 gift card for example. But I was able to grab a few $10 gift cards.
What you make is all up to how much you shop and if you decide to refer friends or not.
If you want to earn more, you can invite your friends. Fluz has a referral program where you can earn more cash when your friends make purchases and invite their friends.
To refer friends, invite them through the app or share your Fluz referral code online. Each time one of your friends joins using your link, they join your network. Your friends will get three vouchers for 35% cashback when they sign-up and you’ll get a voucher as well.
How Do You Make Money with Fluz?
All you have to do to make money with Fluz is to use the app when you shop.
You can use it with any of your favorite stores and restaurants, in-person or online. The Fluz app even has a searchable Stores section you can cruise through for a full list of options. Sort through the stores by category or search for individual restaurants for the latest deals.
There’s no points program to keep track of or hidden membership fees. Use the app for up to 35% cashback on your purchases, then transfer the money you earn to your bank account using PayPal. Keep in mind there is a one-time $26 withdrawal minimum.
To quickly build up your cashback just go ahead and pay with Fluz every time you shop at one of their retailers.
Pros and Cons of the Fluz App
The biggest benefit of using the Fluz app is the savings. You have tons of excellent options to rack up more money compared to other cashback apps. The two best parts of Fluz are the referral program and your potential to stack savings by combining cash back apps.
Use category rewards, loyalty credit cards, or other rewards to grow your income. Or you could even use the Fluz app with other cashback sites or browser extensions, including Swagbucks, Rakuten, Ibotta, Fetch, ShopAtHome, or Earny.
My favorite thing to do is start at Rakuten so I can get cash back from them and then when I go to pay at checkout I purchase a gift card from Fluz for the exact amount and use that to pay. This way I get cashback from both apps! If you’re new to Rakuten check out my Rakuten review.
Let’s look at the pros and cons of Fluz:
Pros:
- Get cashback by shopping at your favorite stores.
- Fluz keeps your data safe using bank-level encryption.
- You can combine Fluz with other reward options.
- Earn more by referring friends.
- The company won’t sell your personal information.
- Grab the money you earn through your PayPal account.
- There are many stores available, both in-store and online.
- You can stack rewards and savings.
But as with everything else, the app comes with a few downsides too.
Cons:
- They have a one-time withdrawal minimum of $26 for the first cashout, so savings are not instant.
- The in-store shopping experience could improve.
The biggest con to using Fluz is in-store shopping. When you’re at the store, the process can take too long to be convenient.
You have to find the store in your Fluz app (I recommend doing this before you get to checkout) and wait for the cashier to ring you up before typing in your total. You pay Fluz directly and wait for your barcode to pay the cashier. Once Fluz gives you the barcode for the cashier to scan, you can finally move on.
It’s a bit of work to earn your cash, and in certain situations, the process can be annoying to some. If you’re at a busy store with a long line, making people wait as you mess around with the Fluz app can feel awful.
One way I’ve worked around this was to just buy the gift card ahead of time. You can either add up what you’re spending on your own before you get to the register (be sure to include tax) or just buy a set amount like $20 to CVS for example and just use it when you shop until the gift card runs out. I do this with stores I shop often.
My Fluz App Review & Experience
So what is using the Fluz app like? So far, I enjoy using it. Compared to other cashback apps, I find Fluz complementary because you can use them with Fluz for ultimate savings. But let’s go through a few more important details.
Security
With online shopping, keeping your information safe is crucial. One of my favorite parts about the Fluz app is the security.
Fluz uses a two-factor authentication system to encrypt any data they store using bank-level protocols. AES-256 encryption is among the strongest in the industry, making it nearly impossible for cyber thieves to break through.
Earning Potential
If you love cashback apps, browser extensions, receipt scanning apps, or other money-saving tools, you’re going to probably love using Fluz.
Anyone who uses reward systems like these can combine their rewards with the Fluz app for unlimited earning potential. Why not score more cash for shopping online?
Fluz alternatives don’t really match up. Some think the company works as a multi-level marketing (MLM) deal. However, most MLMs require you to pay a fee to join and you don’t really have to invite friends with Fluz if you don’t want to. Inviting friends just gives you extra cashback and bonuses.
In my opinion the invite a friend is just an added benefit. While it will help you get to your first $26 cash out threshold much faster, it’s not mandatory to do.
To me, Fluz is another way for me to stack savings since I’ll be doing most of my online shopping through Rakuten anyway. And now I’ll even earn shopping in-store so it’s a no-brainer.

Fluz Referral Code
I guess this is where the MLM comparison comes in, Fluz allows you to create an entire network. Everyone you invite will get three free 35% cashback vouchers and you’ll also get a voucher for inviting them once they buy their first gift card.
One of my favorite parts about the referral program is that you can edit your referral code to make it easier to share. My referral code is: ESAVINGSBLOG feel free to use it to get your first three 35% off vouchers! Sign up here to get your vouchers.
Plus, you can provide your friends with deals to get them to sign-up. Send your friends, family, or followers your Fluz referral code, and they get 35% cashback immediately.
Instead of thinking of it like an MLM, I think of it as sharing a way to save money with my friends. They’re going to make purchases anyway most likely so why not give them cashback?
Fluz Tips
After using the Fluz app for a while, I wanted to share a few useful tips. Use them to get the most out of your experience.
Buy Gift Cards Ahead of Time
I love shopping in-person and online, but because the process sucks to go through in a busy store, I started buying gift cards ahead of time from Fluz for the stores and restaurants I like to shop in physically.
Go to the Fluz home screen and scroll down. Under the voucher store list, there is a grouping of your favorite stores. You can purchase gift cards from them, which is great because you no longer need to search for the store in the app at the register.
If a store isn’t on your favorite list yet, all you have to do is search for it. Tap the heart by the store’s name to add it to your list.
You could also click “All Stores” for the full list of stores with gift cards available in the Fluz app. Using gift cards at in-person stores takes a bit of upfront work, but the process takes much less time at the cash register.
Voucher Expiration
I also learned that you only have 60 days to claim your reward if you sign-up for the Fluz app using a voucher. Limits are a newer feature. You must spend at least $10 to avoid wasting the voucher, so you’ll want to monitor the expiration date.
I found out the hard way when I lost one of my 35% cashback vouchers (ouch). But as long as you remember to use them you should be ok.
Plus, signing up through a voucher is probably the best way to maximize your earnings. Some brands give you more than the base of 35% cashback when you redeem the voucher. A few eligible retailers include well-known brands like Netflix, Dunkin Donuts, and DoorDash.
So say for example you signed up today with my code and you got your three free 35% off vouchers, you’ll want to use them within 60 days. I suggest following my first tip and buying some gift cards to places you’ll shop anyway.
How to Get Started with Fluz
The Fluz app is great for people who love to shop for deals online or off.
Signing up with Fluz is straightforward.
To get started earning money with Fluz, sign-up and use my Fluz referral code ESAVINGSBLOG to get your first three 35% off vouchers. You can sign up here.
Next, you’ll have to take a few minutes to register and verify your new account by adding your payment method and verifying your phone number during the sign-up process to make sure it’s you.
It takes a few steps to get set up but I personally appreciate the security so I know my gift cards and account info are safe.
That’s it! Now you’re ready to shop and earn cashback on qualifying purchases.
Head to the Fluz home screen to search for a retailer or check out the list of stores Fluz works with. The home page has a section to see voucher stores, where you can collect up to 35%.
Shop your heart out. Transfer the money to your bank account using PayPal or save it for next time. What you do with your money is up to you.
What do you think? Would you try out Fluz?
