Do you want to save money at Walmart?
Walmart is known for its “everyday low prices” and their “rollbacks” but are you really saving the most you can by shopping there?
I never really shopped at Walmart much until recently after finding out how much I could save with just a few tricks (that I’ll be sharing with you below).
Now I shop there often and get great deals using the tips I am sharing with you today.
The third tip is one of my favorites (but they are all good)……….
5 Ways to Save a Ton of Money At Walmart
1. Use Walmart Grocery Pickup
First, if this is your first time ordering from Walmart Grocery you can save $10 right away using my referral link here.
Walmart Grocery prices are the same as in-store so you don’t have to worry about inflated prices and you won’t be tempted with any impulse buys because you haven’t stepped into the store!
This method also saves you a ton of time (which to me is money).
If you’re already a Walmart grocery customer the $10 promo may not work for you but you can check Google to see if there are any other codes out there.
Also, check cashback websites like Giving Assistant to see if they have any codes or cashback on grocery delivery (at the time of writing this post they were giving $2 cashback on top of coupons).
New to Giving Assistant? They are giving you a $5 Bonus when you signup, use my referral link here: $5 Bonus
If you’ve exhausted all of your discount codes it’s ok I’ll show you how to save even more using Walmart Grocery and money-saving apps.
2. Use Coupons
You can use good old fashion paper coupons or printable coupons or use a coupon app like the coupons.com app.
What I love about the coupons.com app is that with Walmart all you have to do is add your coupons and then submit your receipt to get the coupon value back in your account.
So instead of getting money off at the register, you will get it in your coupons.com account. If you prefer to get it at the register you can use the coupons.com app to print the coupons before you go to the store and use them at checkout.
3. Use Ibotta (My Favorite)
One of my favorite ways to save at Walmart is by using Ibotta!
If you don’t know, Ibotta is a rebate app that gives you cashback for buying certain products and don’t worry they have a ton of products on the app.
Plus if you’re new to Ibotta you can get a $10 Welcome Bonus by using my referral link here.
It’s free to signup and all you do is add offers you like and when you’re done shopping, scan your products and the barcode at the bottom of your Walmart receipt, and Viola! Cashback!
I recently was able to save over $13 in just one small shopping trip as you can see below (my actual account).
Once you reach $20 you can cash out your money to PayPal or to a gift card.
Also, you can now link your Walmart Account to Ibotta and earn your cash back when doing Walmart Grocery Pickup!
Also, since you’re scanning your receipt anyway, be sure to scan it to Fetch Rewards as well and earn even more rewards.
Fetch is another great free app that rewards you for scanning receipts and you can get a $2 bonus using my referral link here or by using code: ESAVINGS when you sign up.
You can also check my Top 10 Coupon Apps for more great apps to download.
4. Use Shopkick
Shopkick is a free app that rewards you simply for walking into stores (love this part) and for doing other activities like scanning certain products while you’re in the store.
When you open the app it will tell you which products to look for and scan. You will get points for scanning each item. It’s actually kind of fun like a treasure hunt.
It’s a great app to use while walking around Walmart or even the mall. You will see easily in the app which stores that pay you for “walk-in’s” and which have items to scan.
Plus you can get extra points for buying certain items as well.
5. Shop the Clearance Section
Clearance prices, of course, vary by store. Each Walmart usually has a complete section or a few aisles of clearance items. You may have to ask where the section is at your store or just walk around to find it.
I suggest you scan the clearance items because they could actually be cheaper then tagged.
You can also search the Walmart app to find items on clearance that may not be marked or are not in the clearance section of the store.
There are also great blogs that often post about clearance sales. Two of my favorites are Hip2Save.com and Money Saving Mom.
Hope this list helps you save the next time you visit Walmart! If you have any saving tips you use at Walmart the leave them below in the comments.

I love Walmart Savings Catcher! If you don’t have the app, you can enter the receipt number online. That’s the way I use it.
I didn’t know that! thanks!!
